The Brief:
The challenge was given to us by our industry leader Felipe Camara. By working in a team of 5, he gave us the challenge to improve the experience of students looking for an internship.
Outcome:
LinkedIn - Meetup. An app where you can connect with other students or professionals out in the industry
Length of project:
5 weeks
Role:
UX Designer

As the true Hypers we are, we started off by building a strong foundation for our team. Point of departure was made and we decided on different roles that we wanted to try out.

Our work-process begun in a platform named Miro.
It makes it easy to collaborate and looks like a timeline of work.
We started our research by interviewing people who had been on internships
but also people who were about to go on internships. We gathered important insights and valuable information.

A few of our insights
"It's important to have a good network"
"People might feel anxious about reaching out to companies"
"Professionals would see it as a win-win situation.
Students have the latest learnings"
We made a “how might we” statement:
“Create more opportunities for students to meet relevant people in the industry?”

How we solved this
We decided to use LinkedIn and expand the existing platform by making a plug-in app.
"Connect people in a casual setting"
"Nudging people to reach out and network"

"Connect with other students or professionals out in the industry. Personalize your profile and start browsing!"

This is
LinkedIn Meetup

"When you find someone who suits your preferences you can start to build your network!"
